Angel Baby

Dear Angel baby, sissy, cutie, claire bear, eclair, sister c, darlingest baby girl ever, How is my girl? Oh how every little picture and letter from you makes me so happy. Edie, getting that letter in the mail from you was like Christmas times a million. I loved every word and have read it about 20 times since it arrived. It was postmarked July 27th from Orlando, so it came so quick! like 3 days! Thats good to know! I can't wait to hear what your week was like. I love todays Church meeting so much. It was Austin Tulllis' homecoming and Josh Tullis farewell. It was so good. Jason Johnson said the opening prayer in Sacrament and he said so much about mission work and missionaries serving and the it being the greatest work in the world.  I was crying from the get go! Then as it was for everyone in the church today, the 5th Sunday meeting was on members sharing the gospel and missionary work. We got to watch all of the clips from that General Conference we listened to from Hawaii w...

2 Months

Image
This week was a little bit uneventful so lots of pictures! But let's see me and sister siddoway saw so many creatures this week. Frogs, deers, hogs, gators, turtles, cows, lizards, GIANT spiders, cats, bunnies, armadillos and probably a couple more I forgot about. It's like all the Animals in Florida planned to come out the same week and give us a show hahaha My ward had a super fun pioneer day party with smores and games and then I gave a talk in church the next day. It was super amazing because someone we've been teaching for a while had refused to come to church n but she showed up to support me in my talk then ended us inviting over for her daughters birthday that night super cool! Anywaysssss I'm done with my first transfer and I hit my 2 months and me and sister siddoway are both stayin in Oviedo, wahoo it went by so fast but also kind of slow time is weird. I'm really happy to be here but it's easy to get overwhelmed by how much I still have in front of m...

Pioneer Day Talk

Hello Brothers and Sisters happy pioneer day! My name is Sister Campbell for those of you who I haven't had the chance to meet. I'm from Holladay, Utah and I'm one of 5 kids. I've been out on my mission  for a little over one month and I'm just so happy to be here. I couldn't have asked for a better first area than Oviedo this ward is amazing and such a blessing in my life!  Now being from Utah pioneer Day is a BIG holiday it honestly competes with the fourth of July because the majority of the state celebrates it hahahah. and I was a little bummed because for some reason I was under the silly impression that it was only a Utah holiday so to say I was excited to hear it was a widely celebrated holiday is an understatement.   Now before I get into anything I want to give a quick summary about who the pioneers were and why they are so very important. The pioneers that we are celebrating today are the early saints of the church who left behind their homes in search...

TWO MONTH MISS-A-VERSARY!!!!

TWO months as a missionary for the Lord. Eden, we are so proud of you and are touched every day by you choosing to represent Jesus Christ, away from home, to his beloved children in Florida.  It is SUCH a beautiful, important work. You are the PERFECT person to be out there loving and shining HIS light. I love you so much! I will most definitely be getting a diet dr pepper with sugar free fruity syrups in you honor. Can't wait to talk to you Monday. Its pioneer day celebrated in Salt Lake on Monday. Dad will be home! Love you sissy Mama

Cryin In The Nail Salon

Hey yall this week was a blur so ill just get right into it. Monday we went to Disney Springs and it was the time of my life we had so much fun!!  We got bashed quite a few times this week one time in particular was two girls around me and sister siddoways age absolutely ripped us a new one ahahaha they basically told us we were going straight to hell hahahaha The thing about Bible bashing though is the exact opposite thing those people want to happen is happening and rather than having me question my testimony it is always strengthened because the spirit they bring is one of hatred and anger and the real spirit is happy and accepting and loving. Its really cool. Next I went on my first exchange with sister Alleman she is so much fun and taught me a lot about the importance of having fun on your mission and to view your mission as your life for the time being instead of your job and everything changes. I don't know if that makes any sense but it really resonated with me hahah. We a...

We Out Here!

Hi hi hi! These past few weeks have been pretty busy but good! We got our new Mission President, President and Sister Schmeil. They are from Brazil and are so sweet. We had our first zone conference with them and they are excited to get out and do exchanges with missionaries as soon as possible!  This last Monday was the 4th of July and the ward had a big pancake breakfast and bike parade. Sister Siddoway and I had the honor of leading out the bike parade for all the little kids- it was a sight to see hahaha! We're still teaching sweet Henry. He's come to church and also a Baptism. He wants to start meeting regularly on Tuesdays and Fridays! Another lady we're teaching named Maureen came to sacrament meeting, bore her testimony and gave EVERYONE that she passed by a big hug hahahah! We've been doing lots of service helping people move and it sounds weird but that's one of my favorite things to do. One of the guys told me that I "sure know know how to lift"...

Have A Great Week!

Hi sweetie! Since you didn’t write home, I’ll write you. Just want you to know how much I love you and how proud I am of you. Keep taking baby steps of faith and some day just go ahead and take a giant death drops of faith. Always remember that acts of faith increase faith.  For the short time  you are in Florida,  put every bit of trust you have in the Lord to guide you to see people as they really are. The greatest message anyone can recieve is to know that no know matter what mistakes they’ve made- they can be forgiven and  be free from guilt or pain. That no matter how they feel, there is complete peace and joy in Christ.   Maybe this week  jot down little thoughts for your email throughout the week so you aren’t overwhelmed. I learned from Elder Bednar this week that we don’t need to look for ways to recognize if we are hearing or feeling the spirit or are getting revelation. We are living in it and we simply are. When we were given the gift of Ho...
