Cryin In The Nail Salon

Hey yall this week was a blur so ill just get right into it. Monday we went to Disney Springs and it was the time of my life we had so much fun!! 

We got bashed quite a few times this week one time in particular was two girls around me and sister siddoways age absolutely ripped us a new one ahahaha they basically told us we were going straight to hell hahahaha The thing about Bible bashing though is the exact opposite thing those people want to happen is happening and rather than having me question my testimony it is always strengthened because the spirit they bring is one of hatred and anger and the real spirit is happy and accepting and loving. Its really cool.

Next I went on my first exchange with sister Alleman she is so much fun and taught me a lot about the importance of having fun on your mission and to view your mission as your life for the time being instead of your job and everything changes. I don't know if that makes any sense but it really resonated with me hahah. We also had a really cool miracle where we were biking uphill in the 100 degree heat and humidity (I genuinely thought I was gonna die bahaha) but it ended up being SO worth it because we met Maria who is from Chile and less active and she just told us she has two kids that need to be baptized. 

We also went back to Donells house this week and he's just this Floridian cowboy who has 14 siblings and loves God. He tells us to call him uncle Donell and that him and his family won't let nobody bother his "christian nieces". We love him!!!

We also met Dean and Terry at a funeral for someone in our ward. They are the sweetest old couple. He loves to ski and she does nails. We ended up talking to them for a super long time and we ended up scheduling a nail appointment with Dean for today. She does them out of her house and we just had the most amazing discussion about God and Jesus and how to be a good person we were all in tears by the end and she ended up giving us our manicures for free. I'm giving a talk this Sunday and I invited them so hopefully they come and check our church out we'll see!! But either way I was so blessed to meet them.

Gosh I don't have any super amazing spiritual quotes or anything this week but I think the way that I've noticed God showing his love for me has been through the people I meet. Missions are the coolest thing because never would I ever be meeting and making relationships with the people that I am if i hadn't come out here. And I genuinely have learned so much from every single person I've met members of the church and non members of the church, every single person has a story and wisdom from the experiences they've been through. It's especially cool to see the different testimonys people have of Jesus Christ and how they all came to know him in a unique and beautiful way. Anyways ahhh I love and miss you all so much!!!
