Windermere Adventures

Ok these last couple weeks have absolutely flown by and been so chaotic and all over the place, but so so good!! Hmm to start off, as soon as Sis Gibbs and I got settled into our new apartment in the hood our housing coordinators let us know we had to move AGAIN!  We packed up, went to transfers to get our new apartment key and on the way there a lady was switching lanes and switched lanes right into the side of our car. We had to wait for 2 hours for the cops to come and fill out an accident report so in the meantime we taught this lil couple a little bit of the gospel and left them with a Book of Mormon and she told me she liked my dimples so it all turned out ok haha!



Our area is kinda tricky because there were no missionaries serving here for a while. We're working hard to build it up and find people so it's been interesting but there have been so many tender mercies and miracles along the way! I've seen so much of God's perfect timing in this area. I have too many stories to count but it's so amazing to see how he really does put us in places at certain times for a reason! For example, where we live is literally Universal Studios. There are lots of hotels around us and we get many referrals from people whose  address is a hotel lol. One day we went to visit a lady who hadn't answered any of our messages and didn't have her room number on her address. We decided we'd see if we could talk the front desk into telling us where she was lol-right as we were asking for Ginger, Ginger rounds the corner and we were able to meet her and have the most amazing lesson with her! These little things  have been happening everyday. All of these miracles have shown me that the worth of souls truly is great in the sight of God. He doesn't forget any of His children and He wants us all to know that we are seen, known and loved by Him and he has a perfect plan for each of us! I've really been able to more fully understand that most people genuinely are good and have good hearts and good intentions.  We all have different ways of expressing that and whether or not that person is interested in the gospel at this time, people really are just trying to do their best with what they've got and are striving to be good people and it's beautiful! The light of Christ truly is in each and every person. This has been one of the biggest blessings of my mission- to be able to see and experience this.



The last couple weeks have also been complete with a Sisters Conference, (which was amazing all the sisters from the mission got together and it was glorious!!) Zone Conference (we had to drive THROUGH Disneyworld to get there-it was wild haha), and the best of all General Conference!! So many amazing messages!



We've had lots of funny, random and straight up weird experiences being in the heart of Orlando- I swear something is always happening but it's so great and I'm so happy. 



Last, I made it to Gatorland today for p-day so basically my mission is now accomplished.

This week was solid! Even though the weather was either too hot to even attempt finding outside or pouring rain, we did as best we could! We have a couple of people we're teaching that could be getting ready for baptism! The struggle is getting them to 9:30 church. Apparently it's just too early hahaha Our friend Henry was able to make it to church this week though which is a BIG win. He lives pretty far away and doesn't have a car, which means he has to bike in the Florida heat to come to church. But he came! And said he would come back next week!! The youth in the Oviedo Ward are so amazing,  They always welcome us right in and are so fun to hang out with! Sister Siddoway and I have been inviting them to come to teach lessons with us and they are always SO willing and excited.  It amazes me because I was nothing like that at their age. 2 Baptisms And A Wedding!

That last couple weeks have been so amazing!! For starters last week we we're running out of our friend joannes lesson cause we were late for another one and she just casually says "I'm getting the thought that I need to be baptized next week" we were shook because joanne is amazing but told us it would probably be long a while before she was ready to get baptized but after spending our lesson reading 1 nephi 1 she couldn't deny the spirit she felt and the way she related to nephi! The book of mormon truly has converting power!! The Spirit was so strong and she kept saying how excited she was to be baptized just like Jesus! Her baptism day was so special she had so much support from the ward and she was just beaming with joy the whole day! Her unshaken trust in Jesus Christ has changed me and taught me so much!
